The WaterFurnace Training Department has begun offering Digital Training Exercises (DTE) during the response to the coronavirus outbreak. Trainers Carl Robins and Jay Hammond are each hosting daily two-hour training sessions. Sessions are free to attend and offer an opportunity for attendees to ask questions regarding the topic.

Each Digital Training Exercise (DTE) session typically consists of 90 minutes of course material with an additional period for questions and answers with the trainer live. Currently sessions are hosted using GoToMeeting. If you do not already have GoToMeeting installed, you will be prompted to download the desktop client after clicking the session link below. You may also download and install it in advance. Clients for Andorid and iOS devices as well attending directly in your web browser are also available.

It's recommended those planning to attend to sign in 5-10 minutes prior to the beginning of the session to ensure your sound and microphone are working properly. If your computer does not have speakers or a microphone, you can still participate. Start the session and select the option to call in using your phone. The phone number and conference code will be shown. You may also select for your phone to be called instead.

If you need additional assistance, the trainer usually is present prior to the official start time to assist.

NOTE: NATE Certification is NOT a requirement to attend any of our DTEs.

At this time, the Basic Troubleshooting DTE is the only course that awards NATE CEU credit. All four sessions must be attended in order to qualify. You must have your NATE ID available during each session if you would like to earn CEUs. If you do not know your NATE ID, please contact NATE at 877-420-6283 or asknate@natex.org. WaterFurnace does not have the ability to look up your NATE ID and credit can't be awarded without it.

Successful completion of the Basic Troubleshooting DTE satisfies the prerequisite for the 2-day Residential Variable Speed Certification. That certification will resume once in-person training resumes.
